De acordo com o Doutor na \u00e1rea da Biomec\u00e2nica da Corrida, Rodrigo Rosa, o mecanismo el\u00e1stico tem uma liga\u00e7\u00e3o direta com a parte muscular e ligamentar. Dessa forma, os nossos m\u00fasculos e ligamentos produzem uma energia el\u00e1stica durante a corrida, a qual nos faz economizar energia metab\u00f3lica.<\/p>\n

Por exemplo, se o ser humano dependesse s\u00f3 de energia metab\u00f3lica, sem a el\u00e1stica, \u00edamos correr muito menos. A energia el\u00e1stica depositada no m\u00fasculo nos ajuda a economizar energia. Al\u00e9m disso, v\u00e1rios animais apresentam essa energia, como a ema, por exemplo.<\/p>\n

Ainda, animais que saltam e correm mais r\u00e1pido tem uma energia el\u00e1stica muito otimizada. Atletas de maior n\u00edvel e melhor desempenho tamb\u00e9m tem uma energia el\u00e1stica otimizada. Ent\u00e3o, isso \u00e9 um fator muito positivo, pois o atleta acaba consumindo menos energia, e dessa forma, se torna mais econ\u00f4mico. Ele consegue obter maior acelera\u00e7\u00e3o e consegue se manter por mais tempo em uma velocidade avan\u00e7ada. Conforme o Dr. Rodrigo Rosa, essa energia el\u00e1stica est\u00e1 ligada diretamente ao desempenho da corrida.<\/p>\n

O mecanismo el\u00e1stico da corrida tem rela\u00e7\u00e3o direta com o conceito de ciclo, alongamento-encurtamento (CAE), por\u00e9m, este ciclo est\u00e1 ligado a movimentos muito r\u00e1pidos, como saltos e sprints de corrida. J\u00e1 o mecanismo el\u00e1stico se mant\u00e9m mesmo em corridas de longas dist\u00e2ncias. Portanto, n\u00e3o est\u00e1 ligado diretamente ao CAE. \u00c9 um aspecto de econ\u00f4mica para otimizar o rendimento.<\/p>\n
